Tea Party Patriots Launches Super PAC
Citizens Fund Lays Out Mission for 2014 Midterm Elections: Equipping Grassroots Activists with Tools for Victory
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund Super PAC announced its strategy for the 2014 midterm elections – a strategy that will focus heavily on key Senate races, equipping grassroots activists to organize their communities into a unique and powerful political force.“Our movement has been about organizing grassroots activists to get involved in the legislative process and make their voices heard at all levels of government,” said Jenny Beth Martin, President of TPPCF. This is the model Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund will take to elections: equipping activists at the state, district and local levels with tools and resources to elect true representatives of the people to public office.
“Unlike other Super PACs that drop in negative ads from their perches in Washington, DC, to trash opponents, TPPCF will empower the people to have the most impact in the targeted districts and states,” Martin continued. “We are currently huddling with activists on the ground in South Carolina looking for an alternative to Senator Lindsay Graham, and in Kentucky, where many have lost faith in the Senate Minority Leader. We will be expanding the mission into the Mississippi, Nebraska, Louisiana, Arkansas and North Carolina Senate races shortly.”
TPPCF will provide activists with resources – such as voter identification software, polling data, direct mail techniques, media training and other tools – to organize friends, neighbors, and communities around a freedom agenda in an effort to put people in office who will be true representatives of the people.
"Think of the Citizens Fund really as ‘community organizing for conservatives," said Martin. . "What makes us different is simple: We're the only SuperPAC with tens of thousands of grassroots activists across the country, and we will make sure they get what they need to elect conservatives and hold elected officials accountable."
The Tea Party Patriots Citizen Fund is a federal political action committee dedicated to holding tax-and-spend politicians accountable for creating America’s fiscal crisis. The mission of the PAC will be to support good citizen-candidates to run for public office and represent the views of the majority of Americans in all levels of government.
